Our vision for this next season of our church is not primarily about a building but about the mission God has given His church, and we desire for you to join us in this mission.

One Church. One Vision. One Fund.

We desire to think of our church building as a tool for discipleship and mission. We believe that children, youth, and adults will be discipled in the spaces we are creating. We believe that in God’s providence some may hear the gospel and perhaps meet Christ for the first time in one of these welcoming spaces.

ONE FUND EXPLANATION

What is a “One Fund” initiative? Maybe you’ve been part of previous campaigns and were asked to give above and beyond your regular giving so that you gave towards the ‘general fund’ as well as to something like a ‘building fund.’ With One Fund, our giving for two years is not separated into different funds, but all giving funnels into One Fund which includes supporting ongoing ministry, renovating our building, and increased missional giving.

To this end, effective November 1st there will no longer be options online (or via check/cash designation) to designate a gift directly to the Missions or Compassion Funds. If you have a recurring transaction, you can change or cancel those at any time, but they will be changed for you on November 1st to be fully directed to the One Fund. Please contact Ryan at finance@mycf.church for help with recurring transactions. Be assured that existing money in the Missions and Compassion Funds will stay intact and will continue to meet their designated needs/purposes. Further, we will continue to make sure that ongoing needs and purposes in these areas will be met throughout the two-year One Fund period. For the purposes of the Deeper initiative, please combine all your planned giving into one amount designated for One Fund. We are asking you to prayerfully consider what God might be calling you to give in this season of our church.

How can I join the journey to go Deeper?

  • Ask the Lord to move your heart and for everyone in our congregation to go Deeper in our walk with Him.

    Action steps:

    • Pray each day for Deeper. Prayer prompts will be emailed each day during the 5-week series.

    • Pray for wisdom and discernment for our leaders as we all journey through Deeper.

    • Pray with your family for the Lord to take you Deeper with Him.

    • Pray that God would continue working at CF and our reach would expand locally and globally to tell His Good News!

    • Pray that God would give you wisdom about your part in the Deeper initiative.

  • Ask the Lord what sacrificial giving looks like for you and your family. Commit confidently, trusting Him to use and multiply your gifts to His glory.

    Action steps:

    • Think about how you can get involved and be an ambassador for the Deeper initiative.

    • As you consider your giving, here are some creative ways to get started!

    • Practice Priority Budgeting: Consider giving up something in your current budget. It may mean postponing a planned expenditure such as a new car, vacation, home remodeling or other purchases.

    • Redirect Present Expenditures: Anticipate whether cash flow will be freed up during the two years of the Deeper initiative, due to something like a loan being paid or a child graduating from college. Consider redirecting those funds to Deeper.

    • Increased Giving with Increased Income: If you receive periodic increases in salary or bonuses, consider committing that increase to Deeper rather than increasing your lifestyle.

    • Give from Your Excess: If you have collections, inheritance, savings or other resources, consider donating those to the Deeper initiative.

    • Donate Appreciated Assets: Gifts of appreciated assets (stocks, investment securities, real estate, etc.) can be advantageous by allowing you to avoid capital gains tax, and to receive an income tax charitable deduction. Before making a commitment of this type, consult your CPA, tax attorney, or financial advisor.

  • As the Lord grows you through this journey, we hope you will share your story to encourage others.

    Actions steps:

    • We invite you to share your story with others as you meet together. We believe God works in our lives and the lives of those around us when we share our stories.
